Helping kids unlock their musical potential

Horacio Nuguid

Pianist Horacio Nuguid has collaborated as soloist with various orchestras such as the Manila Symphony, Rochester Symphony, St. Cloud Symphony, Austin Symphony and the Southwest Minnesota Symphony in the performances of some of the standard concertos by Mozart, Beethoven, Brahms, Grieg, Ravel and Rachmaninov among others. More recently, he gave premiere performances of the Konzertsatz in F Minor by Clara Schumann and Suite for Piano and Strings by Mario Pilati with the Young Artists World Piano Festival Orchestra in St. Paul and Orquestra de Camera de Bellas Artes in Mexico City. As the founder and artistic director of the Rochester Chamber Music Society, Nuguid performs in recitals regularly both as a piano soloist and collaborator with distinguished artists and ensembles in the region. He is also active as a teacher and adjudicator of young artists in various festivals and competitions in Minnesota. Dr. Nuguid received his music degrees from the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, the University of Northern Iowa and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He currently resides in Rochester and is the recipient of the 2014 Ardee Award for “outstanding artist.”

Rosanna Nuguid

Rosanna Nuguid is a much sought after piano teacher in the Rochester area. As a member of the Music Teachers National Association, Minnesota Music Teachers Association, Southeast Minnesota Federation Club and Rochester Area Keyboard Club, Mrs. Nuguid provides many performance opportunities for her students by way of festivals, examinations and competitions. Her students have consistently garnered the top prizes in local piano competitions. Just last year, her student won first place in the MMTA Junior Young Artist Competition. Mrs. Nuguid graduated from the University of Santo Tomas with the Bachelor of Music degree in Piano. Aside from teaching piano, which has been her passion for over 35 years, Mrs. Nuguid likes to paint and dance.
